Reported in the Pavement Damaged/Cracked category anonymously at 13:42, Tue 3 March 2015
Sent to Barnet Borough Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 598191.
Pavement outside 23 West Avenue, London N3 1AU has partially collapsed, likely from sub-standard reinstatement works.

In that location and with that condition, I would say the most likely cause is vehicles driving across it illegally. The fact that the front yard hard standing extends beyond the dropped kerb, and there is no fence, tends to re-inforce that interpretation.
This update is not from the council.

Collapsed pavement appears to have been visited by an inspector and identified as dangerous and temporarily bollarded. This was quite a few days ago but no actual repairs have been done. Bollards keep falling over in wind, now making the area a double hazard!
You would have thought once the site had been inspected and obviously identified as unsafe, the repairs would have happened straight away. Instead, the temporary bollarding has worsened the safety issue.
